10. Changes to this Policy

11. Cookies Policy -Information PharmaSchool collects from you

What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes a unique identifier that is sent to your computer or mobile phone (referred to here as a "device") browser from a website's computer and is stored on your device's hard drive. Each website can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser's preferences allow it, but (to protect your privacy) your browser only permits a website to access the cookies it has already sent to you, not the cookies sent to you by other sites. Many sites do this whenever a user visits their website in order to track online traffic flows.

Cookies record information about your online preferences and allow us to tailor the websites to your interests. Users have the opportunity to set their devices to accept all cookies, to notify them when a cookie is issued, or not to receive cookies at any time. The last of these means that certain personalised services cannot then be provided to that user and accordingly you may not be able to take full advantage of all of the website’s features. Each browser is different, so check the "Help" menu of your browser to learn how to change your cookie preferences.

During the course of any visit to PharmaSchool Websites, the pages you see, along with a cookie, are downloaded to your device. Many websites do this, because cookies enable website publishers to do useful things like find out whether the device (and probably its user) has visited the website before. This is done on a repeat visit by checking to see, and finding, the cookie left there on the last visit.

12. Data Protection

PharmaSchool’s website and our online management systems are owned and operated solely by PharmaSchool and we have systems in place to ensure confidentiality and security of any data we collect and hold. This includes a two part login system (username and password) for every user.  Each user is responsible for their own login and it is vital that you do not disclose your login details to anyone else or allow anyone else to access your account, other than the PharmaSchool IT team, who may need access occasionally to resolve technical issues.  If you think your login details have been compromised please e-mail support@pharmaschool.co as soon as possible.  We also recommend that you change your password when you first access your account and at regular intervals after that.

Legal Bases for Data Collection and Processing

PharmaSchool uses different legal bases for collecting and processing certain information.

  • Some information is collected in order to allow us to provide a service – for providing online or classroom courses or MyGCPZone accounts
  • Some information is held and processed in order to comply with a legal requirement – records of your participation in training activities under GCP legislation
  • Some information is collected and processed after you have given your consent – to provide you with update and/or marketing e-mails.  You have the option to cancel this consent at any time and we will remove you from our database.
